Peter is an experienced public sector leader with twenty years’ experience in the Victorian Public Service. He has worked across a number of VPS departments and agencies, including:
- Department of Premier and Cabinet
- Department of Treasury and Finance
- Department of Justice
- Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning
- Parks Victoria
Peter’s roles have spanned corporate planning, departmental liaison, policy analysis and advice, policy development, project management, public entity governance and strategy development.
As a senior executive at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning for over five years, Peter was responsible for public land policy, legislation and governance, as well as the delivery of a range of significant projects on key public land sites. At Parks Victoria, Peter led the development of the first ever land management strategy for Victoria’s four million hectares of parks and reserves.
Prior to joining the VPS, Peter was a naval officer for 10 years, where he developed strong leadership and management skills.
